The Brisbane Bears have walloped Richmond by 77 points on a blistering hot day at the Gabba, calling into question the Tigers finals credentials.
The Bears were hot from the start, extending their advantage at every break before really putting the struggling Richmond to the sword in the final term to win 24.16 (160) to 15.5 (83).

Brisbane kicked a goal in the opening 30 seconds and that pretty much set the scene for the day, with the Tigers visibly struggling with the Brisbane heat.
Daryl White and Gilbert McAdam were absolutely everywhere for the Bears, not only early but throughout the entire game. White finished with seven goals, while McAdam had 35 disposals.
Richmond were able to cut into the lead at different times, even cutting it to around three goals with around 12 minutes to play in the third, but from there it was all one way traffic.
The Bears just ran the Tigers off their feet to continue what had been a good finish to the season for them.
For the Tigers, Paul Bulluss had a great day out in defence, taking a number of strong, contested intercept marks and while he had plenty of opportunities to take them given how good the Bears were, he was wonderful with 11 marks and 21 disposals.
Up forward, the Tigers got a good lift out of Nick Daffy who booted five goals, while Stephen Jurica tried hard despite a lack of supply to also finish with a couple of goals. Daffy's five goals took him past the 50-goal mark in his AFL career, in just 44 games.
Matthew Rogers continued to show some good signs late in the year, showing great hunger for the contest and setting up a few Tigers goals, while Nathan Bower also toiled away in the sun but overall there weren't too many winners from the Tigers on the day.
The game would be the last for Matthew Dundas in the yellow and black. After crossing from Fitzroy at the end of 1993. He ended his Richmond stint with 14 games and 5 goals.
