Richmond have continued their start to the AFLW competition winless, being outworked by a strong Melbourne side to go down by 28 points at Casey Fields.
Scores were tied at quarter time, but it was the Dees midfield brigade that got on top from there with their forwards making the most of their opportunities, winning 7.2 (44) to 2.4 (16).

It was the 8th game in Richmond AFLW's history but unfortunately would end in a loss like all the others, but the seeds were there to show that the team weren't too far away from their first win.
After quarter time Melbourne kicked a couple of goals each quarter to slowly build out their match winning lead, while the Tigers went goalless in quarters two and three to ultimately decide the outcome.
Harriet Cordner continued her strong season in her new yellow and black colours, defending well and being a good outlet option for the Tigers when exiting defensive 50.
She picked up 14 disposals, 3 marks and laid 5 tackles and was probably the Tigers' best.
Another new recruit to Richmond for the 2021 season, Sarah Hosking, provided a lot of toughness around the contest and put her body on the line on a number of occasions, one of which led to her kicking her first goal for the club. She finished with 13 disposals and 5 tackles to go along with her first goal.
Richmond's other goalkicker, Sabrina Frederick, presented well taking three marks and pinch hitting in the ruck when required, and played well overall.
